I discovered a passion for exercise while growing up Australia, and have been working as a Health and Fitness Coach for over 10 years.
I founded Greenwich Training to break the mould and help members of our community discover a real love and enjoyment for being healthy which will stay with them for good.
As a father of two young boys I understand how difficult it can be to find the time for health and fitness, and I’ve made it my mission to help as many people as we can transform not just their health but their whole families, through working with us.
The human body truly is amazing and I moved into fitness to help people discover their physical potential. I’ve always worked with my body, I danced from a young age and spent years touring and in the West End with the show STOMP, which is why teaching others to work with their own bodies felt like a natural progression for me.
I want to help people see that all you need is a body! No matter where you are starting from you will be amazed with what you can achieve with some consistent work. I keep the workouts varied and focus on giving people a good understanding of technique and how to apply it to their individual needs and bodies.
After travelling for 12 months, I ended up living in Sydney for 5 years. It’s here I got the idea to become a Personal Trainer. I had played football all my life and then discovered the jungle gym by the beach (the weather and scenery was too good for a gym membership).
I’d class my style of training as a mixture of high intensity and strength. I’m more likely to trim and tone someone then give them 24 inch pythons. But it’s available on request.
One of the things I like most about training is seeing clients go from turning up with a look on their faces like they have just arrived at a torture chamber, to being told how amazing they feel after. It’s also great to see and hear about people’s progression and how much of a positive effect training with us has had in their life. It’s hard to beat being paid to improve someones life.
My fitness journey began a few years ago when I did absolutely zero exercise! I signed up for a half marathon to improve my fitness and since then I have run 4 full marathons, and a 100k Ultra-Marathon!
The more I got into running, the more I started incorporating other exercises into my routine to make me a stronger runner. I started doing some strength training and HIIT sessions too which I loved.
At this point, I was really unhappy and super stressed in my job, doing work I didn’t care about. I wanted something more rewarding so after a lot of deliberation I quit and enrolled onto a Personal Training course!
Seeing people smile and laugh when I’m training them is the best feeling! I love using equipment to keep things fun and varied but I’m a huge fan of bodyweight exercises too because, let’s face it, nothing beats a good set of burpees, right?
I have been in the industry several years now, coming from different kinds of background; an athlete, a therapist and now a trainer. All aspects have helped me gain a wide range of knowledge helping people achieve their health and fitness goals.
I’m a passionate sport and fitness fanatic who’s been exposed to it from a very young age. Throughout my career and life I’ve come to appreciate the meaning of hard work, dedication, striving to achieve and passion! Coaching has really helped me develop as an individual, teaching me to adapt to different types of situations in life and in the studio.
Gaining fitness is much more than just looking good: you’ll feel better, live better and ultimately prolong your life! I use a variety of training methods in my sessions that will be tailored to your requirements, whether it’s to run a marathon or start lifting weights. Your journey will be motivational, rewarding, challenging, educational, and always enjoyable!
With a background training as a professional dancer, I have always had a passion with working with my body and being around people that get enjoyment from moving.
For me, the most important part about working out and exercising is finding a way that works for you and that makes you feel good. Seeing somebody putting in the hard work then feeling and seeing the benefits to their health, fitness and self-confidence is the best part about working as a trainer and coach.
In my sessions I aim to include functional movement alongside high intensity work to create an enjoyable and challenging workout to help you on your journey to a more active lifestyle.
